Retailing in its truest form is best described as relentless. Apart from the obvious, which would be the 7-day 10-hour work schedule, the obsession with perfection (evident in all successful retailers) often leads to medium-term burnout in staff.
High staff turnovers, demotivated staff and the resulting unhappy customers are some of the symptoms of the retailer’s nightmare. To try and stem the tide, we have embraced our nature which is an unquenchable passion for our industry. We as a group have commenced with a structured program to get our staff more involved in the industry through training, competitions and practice days, enabling them to get rid of retail fatigue which seems to be our nemesis.
