Marco van Niekerk leads Outdoor Investment Holdings as Chief Executive Officer, bringing a wealth of leadership experience drawn from retail, distribution, and corporate strategy. He has shaped the group’s vertically integrated business model, guiding its expansion from a single retail store to a diversified portfolio encompassing large-format retail, wholesale distribution, and lifestyle brands.
Before founding and growing OIH, Marco held senior executive roles across the retail sector, including leadership positions at major South African retailers where he developed deep expertise in strategy, operations, and organisational development. His insight and commercial judgment have been instrumental in driving growth across multiple categories and strengthening OIH’s position within the outdoor, lifestyle, and wholesale markets.
